Arman Poghosyan’s practice focuses on the fundraising and management of the human rights projects.
Arman has more than 8-year professional experience in project management. During this period he has worked with different international organizations operating in Armenia or oversees. Arman worked as project manager for Netherlands Helsinki Committee within the frame of regional project of “Strategic Litigation in Caucasus” where he has collaborated with Article 42, Georgian NGO. In his current position Arman has implemented more that 12 projects with different donor organization, mostly cooperating with local OSCE Office in Yerevan, ABA/CEEELI, Council of Europe, US embassy in Armenia and World Bank.
During his professional career, Arman has closely collaborated with different civil society actors, non-governmental organizations, international organizations and other partners, as well as with private sector organizations and legal firms. His ability to find common grounds for cooperation has resulted in that the Chamber of Advocates of RA established strong relations with such international human rights organizations as Interights and EHRAC resulting in submitting of several amicus curiae briefs to the European Court of Human Rights and communications to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
Arman’s professional experience is seriously supported with his solid academic background. Mr. Poghosyan is a graduate of American University of Armenia, holds M.A. in Western legal tradition and Comparative legal science. Arman is a member of the Chamber of Advocates, as well as the president of House for Rights and Democracy NGO, founded in 2013. He is an author of “Collection of sample legal documents on civil and administrative cases” educational-methodological guidebook.
